Principal’s Message
Congratulations
to all 74 students who were selected to attend this year’s Pathfinder Gala on
October 25. If you were not selected, I hope you will apply again next year and also
stay tuned for additional opportunities to attend gala-type events. Please consider the Joe Sutter Dinner Lecture
on November 15 at the Museum of Flight—see Mr. Davolt if interested.
The
Pathfinder Gala is a formal event that involves special preparation. Knowing about the proper attire and what to do
when seated at a formal place setting for dinner are important skills to develop. Our Pathfinder attendees are expected to attend the
Etiquette Training session after school on Tuesday, October 21st
from 3:45-5:30! Are you unsure about what to
wear for a formal occasion? Ladies, please check with Ms. Hiranaka and gentlemen, ask Mr. Davolt or Mr. Kelly. As etiquette
coaches, we’re here to give you that
extra step of confidence and ensure you finish strong with a hand-written thank
you note to your sponsor.
Scholars, remember the SAT® and PSAT will be
administered this Wednesday, Oct. 15. The SAT is an
important step on your path to college — so get a good night’s rest on
Tuesday. If you have not done so, you
may want to explore the SAT website and click through the Test Day Simulator.
A gentle
reminder: First quarter ends Friday,
October 31. I’ve been very impressed with your hard work
and study habits and want to encourage you to make each day of learning count. Seek help from your amazing teachers—they are
available before and after school. As
you develop your college-going transcript, remember your learning matters. Do your absolute best and take full advantage
of the supports at RAHS—just ask!
Seniors, please remember the Rolls Royce
essays are due this Friday by 4:00PM to
Mr. Kelly.
A Round of Applause—acknowledging those who make RAHS a
better place.
Student Ambassadors for last week’s delegation from Tulsa,
OK:
Amelia MaCahill, Ian Demaree, Abby Eades, Vince Paddon, Joe Merlino, and
Jaclyn Wing. I’ve heard back from
the delegation and they were very impressed by your perspective, poise, and
professionalism.
Honored
to serve as your Principal—Bruce Kelly
